Pancos is a hand-made footwear company founded The main idea of this new product in 2012 is to restore the tradition continued for many years to develop our indigenous ancestors sandals handmade using 100 % Ecuadorian products in recent years had virtually disappeared.
Mission: Our mission is to incentivize the new generations of indigenous people to learn the traditional techniques that their ancestors practiced for many generations and to continue to work with natural products, such as the cabuya. We strive to combine the indigenous old traditions of elaborating handmade espadrilles with unique designs that reflect the traditions of our country.

In the summer of 2012, Franco returned to Ecuador concerned about the importance of preserving the Ecuadorean tradition of elaborating handmade shoes by local communities and combining it with fashionable designs. One weekend, Franco and his family decided to go to Otavalo, which is a city famous for the talent of the craftsmanship of its indigenous people) where they found Charic, who is a young artisan that agreed to work in Franco’s idea. Since the beginning, both entrepreneurs have been concerned on starting a business that offers a product that has enrooted in its values the importance of fair trade, social responsibility, and environmental awareness. After years of development and fine-tuning, we have finally emerged with a product that meets our highest standards for espadrille excellence.
